Position Summary:
Synergee is seeking skilled and passionate Grant Writers to join our team as volunteers. As a Grant Writer, you will be crucial in securing funding for our organization's projects and initiatives. You will be responsible for researching and identifying grant opportunities, developing grant proposals, and submitting them to potential funders. The successful candidate will possess excellent writing skills, strong attention to detail, and a deep understanding of the grant writing process. Responsibilities:
1. Research grant opportunities: Conduct thorough research to identify relevant opportunities aligned with Synergee's mission and objectives.
2. Grant proposal development: Prepare compelling grant proposals that effectively communicate Synergee's projects, initiatives, and impact to potential funders.
3. Grant application management: Coordinate and manage the grant application process, ensuring timely submission and adherence to all application requirements.
4. Collaboration with stakeholders: Collaborate with Synergee's team members, program managers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and data for grant proposals.
5. Budget development: Assist in developing budgets for grant proposals, ensuring alignment with project objectives and funders' guidelines.
6. Grant reporting: Support the reporting process by providing accurate and timely information to funders, tracking project progress, and documenting outcomes and impacts.
7. Grant research and tracking: Stay updated on the latest grant opportunities, funding trends, and best practices in grant writing. Maintain a comprehensive database of grants, deadlines, and outcomes.
8. Compliance and ethics: Ensure compliance with all legal and ethical grant writing and reporting guidelines.
Qualifications:
1. Experience: Proven experience in grant writing or a related field, with a track record of successfully securing grants.
2. Writing skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas and concepts clearly and concisely.
3. Research skills: Strong research and analytical skills to identify relevant grant opportunities and gather supporting data and information.
4. Attention to detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in grant proposals, budgets, and reports.
5. Time management: Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to simultaneously meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
6. Team player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and establish positive working relationships with stakeholders.
